In addition, our proposed policy would eliminate the difficulty sponsors and PBMs have under the current “per drug” provisional supply policy in determining whether the beneficiary already received a provisional supply of a drug. We seek specific comment on the modifications we are proposing as to the provisional coverage and time period.

This old OEP did not permit someone enrolled in either an MA-only plan or Original Medicare without a PDP to enroll in Part D coverage through this enrollment opportunity.
